Addenbrooke’s DXA addition reinforces service

At a follow-up visit to a Hologic Discovery A installation by Vertec Scientific at Addenbrooke’s Hospital radiology department are, from left, secretary Helen Bartram, osteoporosis specialist nurse Jill Barker, Vertec product specialist Bill Reid, assistant practitioner Gill Doyle, appointments clerk Sarah Martin, radiographer Margot Sargent, receptionist Linda Garner, medical technical officer Mary Adams, operations manager radiology Julie Smith and secretary Marta Garcia.

Medical technical officer Mary Adams said: “I have been here nearly 11 years and in that time have found Vertec to be friendly and helpful.  From the office staff to management, I am always spoken to like an old friend.  Most problems are dealt with over the phone or an engineer will call in a few days.”

Julie Smith said: “The addition of the scanner reinforces our ability to provide an effective and efficient bone scanning service to our patients, facilitating increased capacity, that in turn delivers increased activity.”
