Auto-positioning helps reduces shoulder and back injuries

At Royal Gwent Hospital are radiographers Melissa Gilbert, Gary Lee, Stuart Perrins, Laura Harte and Verity Smith, assistant practitioner Shameela Woolley, Wolverson X-Ray engineer Steve Dovey, superintendent radiographer Kate Joy and senior radiographer Gemma Frowen.

Royal Gwent Hospital A&E department has had two Wolverson general x-ray rooms delivered, and reports that installation went ahead with little upheaval.

Superintendent radiographer Kate Joy said: “The installation and building work were completed with minimum disruption.  We are delighted with the equipment and the auto-positioning function has helped to decrease the risk of back and shoulder injury as well as giving us effective and efficient working practices.”
