AXREM rebrands special focus group and names new convenor

Following substantial growth over the last four years and a more diverse membership and strategic approach to its work, AXREM has renamed its Service Managers Special Focus Group as the Service and Operations Special Focus Group, in order to make the group’s work and remit clearer.

From November, AXREM will have a new convenor and vice convenor for the group. Elekta senior operations manager Richard Coldrick has been a long-standing member of the executive committee. Coldrick’s role as senior operations manager at Elekta focuses on customer satisfaction in areas of the business including service, operations and sales. He has 30 years’ experience in the radiotherapy business and has been involved with AXREM since 2008 as part of the service focus group and has served on the executive committee since 2016. He is also an active member of the Radiotherapy Special Focus Group.

The vice convenor role will be fulfilled by Fujifilm Healthcare UK national service delivery manager Declan McGregor. McGregor has over a decade of experience in the healthcare industry and more than seven years in the medical imaging sector gaining exposure to a wide range of modalities. Having worked extensively as a field service engineer and technical manager prior to moving into a UK-wide service management role, McGregor gained strong, firsthand experience of the operational, regulatory and technical challenges faced by the continually evolving industry.
