Bath’s Royal United optimises patient care with two DR rooms

Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust has installed two ceiling-suspended DR Solutions from Agfa HealthCare to optimise patient care and enhance informed care decisions.
To continue enhancing its patient care, the hospital has implemented two Agfa HealthCare DR 600 direct radiography rooms, with state-of-the-art automation and design in an integrated solution. One room is for general use and the other for A&E. With cesium iodide detectors, the DR 600s are said to offer the hospital the potential for significant patient dose reduction when used with Musica image processing. Immediate availability of images is expected to speed up workflow.
“In today’s patient-centric healthcare environment, hospitals like ours need to find ways to provide a better patient experience and positive patient outcomes,” said radiology clinical manager Rosie Freeman.
