FAST scanning helps Worcester detect AAA

Worcester Royal Hospital’s A&E department has chosen the mobile Samsung-Medison MySono U5 laptop ultrasound scanner with abdominal, cardiac and linear transducers to enable FAST (focused assessment with sonography in trauma) scans to be carried out swiftly with its own dedicated scanner.

“Quick diagnosis using the FAST scan approach in UK A&E departments is saving time and improving outcomes,” says MIS Healthcare Limited.

Worcester’s A&E department reports that the scanner has helped in life-saving situations such as abdominal aortic aneurysm.
