Ferromagnetic detector helps UCLH protect patients

Director of the UCL Centre for Medical Imaging Professor Steve Halligan, honorary consultant radiologist and reader at UCL Dr Stuart Taylor and 3.0T research radiographer Nicky Stevens with Metrasens sales manager Simon Collinge.

Metrasens has installed its Ferroguard ferromagnetic detection system in the new 3.0T MRI facility of the University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

 

Honorary consultant radiologist Dr Stuart Taylor said: “We value the support and advice Metrasens provided during the installation works.  The Ferroguard system adds to the safe running of the scanner and forms a key part of our safety processes at UCLH.”
