Fujifilm has carried out the UK’s first installation of an Amulet stereotactic biopsy unit, at Medway Breast Care Unit.  The breast centre provides two services, the national breast screening programme and the symptomatic breast service, using the latest technology to detect breast cancer as early as possible.

The FDR Amulet mammography system features Fujifilm’s direct conversion flat panel detector (FPD) technology, capable of 50 micron resolution.  The addition of an optional stereotactic biopsy unit enhances the diagnostic abilities of the Amulet by adding the ability to carry out various invasive procedures.  It is ergonomically designed to be comfortable for patients and easy to use.
