Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has installed five state-of-the-art ultrasound systems from Siemens Healthcare.

Royal Preston Hospital received four Acuson S2000 systems and another has been installed at Chorley and South Ribble Hospital for its new breast screening service, bringing the trust’s total of S2000s to nine.

Three systems at Royal Preston Hospital are located in the main x-ray department and are being used for interventional ultrasound, general all-purpose scanning and some outpatient examinations.  The fourth is situated in the Sharoe Green Unit where it is being used for obstetric ultrasound.
