With a Ziehm Vision RFD mobile C-arm are, from left, consultant vascular surgeon Mr John Brennan, consultant interventional radiologist Dr Richard McWilliams, Xograph product manager Peter Drozd, superintendent radiographer Gavin Flintham, radiographer Rob Horton and deputy superintendent radiographer Nick Bolger.
The Ziehm Vision RFD has spent its first year in clinical service at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. Said to be the UK’s first mobile 30x30cm flat panel vascular C-arm, the Vision RFD’s integrated advanced active cooling and sophisticated heat management system provides unlimited fluoroscopy time, allowing lengthy and demanding procedures, such as branched and fenestrated EVARs, to be performed without the need for multiple C-arms in the longest procedures.
Supplied by Xograph Healthcare, the system can be enhanced with the addition of a contrast media injector interface, additional cart- or ceiling-mounted displays, an extra touch-screen control panel for cart or tableside mounting and a mobile surgical table developed for x-ray imaging.
