Galway clocks up another first with mobile DR
At Galway Clinic are ceo/director James Sheehan, Philips Healthcare Ireland general manager Larry Keaveney and account manager David Murphy, senior radiographer Susan Doheny and radiology services manager Evelyn Smyth.
Galway Clinic, Ireland, has become the first site worldwide to acquire the Philips MobileDiagnost wDR. This follows the first installation of an Allura Xper, as reported in the November RAD Magazine.
Radiography manager Evelyn Smyth said: “We chose the equipment because of its ease-of-use, mobility and speed, particularly with regard to workflow in the department. And with training taking only 15 minutes, it allows me to free-up radiographers as they are absent for shorter periods of time. We went for the wireless option to reduce the chance of cross infection.”
