Holly House acquires new PACS system

At Holly House are assistant practitioner Sarah Weedon, imaging services manager Allyson Budino and deputy manager and clinical lead imaging services Michele Fox.

 

Holly House Hospital, part of Aspen Healthcare has acquired the Sectra RIS/PACS solution and Sectra MicroDose Mammography system. Women taking their mammogram at Holly House will now be offered a bone-density examination.  

 

“Osteoporosis is today a heavily under-diagnosed disease,” said a spokesperson.  “The gold standard for diagnosis is measurement of bone mineral density (BMD) of the hip and spine using dual energy x-ray absorptiometry but this is rarely done.”
