Images on display in seconds increase throughput

One of Oxfordshire’s busiest hospitals has cut x-ray processing times using a new radiography system from Konica Minolta.  The Aero DR system’s rapid imaging capabilities have increased the numbers of patients passing through the x-ray suite at Banbury’s Horton General Hospital.

Imaging appears on the display of the CS7 console in less than two seconds.   Deputy superintendent radiographer Janet Hodgson said: “The Aero DR allows us to increase throughput by quite a margin as there is no need to process individual cassettes – we see our images within a few seconds.  This means that busy outpatient clinics and walk-in GP sessions can be serviced with the minimum delay.”
