Klarity Green gets the thumbs up at New Cross

At New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton, are chief clinical technologist (radiotherapy) Rose Cox, trainee clinical technologist Felix Wowk, senior clinical technologist Claire Watson and Vertec product specialist Mike Holroyd.

Vertec product specialist Mike Holroyd  made a follow-up visit to the Deanesley Centre at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton, to see how it is getting along with Klarity thermoplastic material since first ordering a sample in August last year.

Chief clinical technologist (radiotherapy) Rose Cox said: “We are really pleased with Klarity Green; we have found it to be equally as strong and rigid as other thermoplastics we have used, while showing far less shrinkage on cooling than those other materials.  Also, as it does not stick to itself when hot, it is far easier to work with and to do re-mouldings if necessary.  Add to this the fairly short cooling time and reasonable price tag and it is easy to see why we were so impressed with Klarity Green.”
