Lewisham improves workflow

Staff at University Hospital Lewisham report an improved workflow following the installation of an Optivantage dual head injector from Covidien.

The injector features the industry’s only fully-programmable powerhead, allowing operators to stay with their patients throughout the injection preparation.

Lewisham staff are also hoping to use Optibolus, a bolus shaping software that enables injections to be performed with a reduced volume of contrast.

“Optibolus will enable the team to use 75ml syringes without compromising diagnostic confidence,” says Covidien.

Confirmed CT/MR superintendent Kirti Patel: “The new injector is so easy to operate and, combined with the use of the prefilled syringes, makes contrast media administration so much easier, enabling us to maintain a steady throughput of patients.”
