Northern Ireland installs its first 3.0T scanner

Philips UK and Ireland md John Atwill with consultant radiologist Dr Peter Ellis and MRI superintendent radiographer Mrs Carolyn Reynolds.
The Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast has replaced one of its 1.5T MRI systems with a Philips Achieva the first 3.0T system in Northern Ireland.
Philips Healthcare is just three years into a 15-year Managed Equipment Service agreement with the Royal Group of Hospitals, part of the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust.
In addition to the new system, the Royal Victoria has a Philips 1.5T Achieva installed in 2007.
