Portable ultrasound for Canvey Island

The outpatients clinic at Canvey Island, part of Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, recently invested in a Toshiba Viamo portable ultrasound system.
Superintendent radiographer Julie Boyden said: “We are extremely pleased with the Viamo. It is portable, compact and easily storable in fact ideal for use in our outreach clinic.
“The sonographers have found it operator-friendly and ergonomically designed, with consistently good image quality over a range of examinations.”
