Fast and efficient reading of screening mammograms is expected to improve the breast screening service to the women in the Kent region. A region-wide IT solution, Sectra Breast Imaging PACS, will manage all breast images from 100,000 examinations carried out each year by three breast screening centres in Kent.
By linking the hospitals’ mammography operations together, an efficient flow of images and information will be created, making the day-to-day work of the radiologist easier. The solution will manage breast images from the three centres and the mobile Sectra MicroDose Mammography units recently introduced at the Maidstone breast screening service.
