Royal Cornwall Hospital, part of the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, has installed an Artis zeego advanced multi-axis interventional imaging system from Siemens Healthcare.  The system is the second of its kind in the UK and is being used for interventional, vascular and CT-guided punctures.

Plans for expansion of procedures using the zeego include use in endovascular aneurysm repair, radiofrequency ablation and transjugular intrahepatic porto-systemic shunts.

“The system has supported our drive to work as efficiently as possible, providing us with added flexibility and helping increase throughput with consistently excellent image quality,” said interventional radiology team leader Simon Finlay.
