Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust has purchased three Aplio i-700 ultrasound systems from Canon Medical Systems, two for the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and one for the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.  As replacements for existing equipment, they provide users with state-of-the-art technologies such as Superb Microvascular Imaging (SMI), and ultra wide-band i-series transducers.

Lead sonographer Sylvia Foster said: “We chose Canon Medical Systems because of the excellent image detail in the many different areas we scan.  The wide range of probes available ensures optimum images and staff appreciate the ease-of-use of the new scanners.”
