Siemens Healthcare Peter Harrison and Günter Dombrowe celebrate their involvement in the Nation on Trial iniative with company representatives.

Siemens Healthcare has joined forces with the GB Rowing Team as its high performance partner, to take part in the Nation on Trial initiative that aims to raise awareness of stroke and raise funds to assist with its diagnosis.  Launched in partnership with The Stroke Association, the initiative invites the British public to take part in a sponsored two kilometre rowing machine time trial.

Nation on Trial is the latest in a long-standing venture between Siemens and The Stroke Association aimed at highlighting the benefits of leading a well-balanced and active lifestyle.  The initiative also encourages participants to raise funds to improve support for survivors and their families, and to back vital medical research.

“Diagnosing stroke at an early stage is vital to provide the most appropriate therapy.  MRI and CT scans play an important role in diagnosis so this presents an ideal opportunity to work together,” said Siemens’ Günter Dombrowe.
