Siemens and Insightec agree to extend access to MRgFUS
Insightec’s Maurice Ferre and Siemens Healthineers’ Christoph Zindel sign the contract.
Specialist in MR-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) therapy Insightec is collaborating with Siemens Healthineers to develop compatibility between Exablate Neuro and Siemens’ 1.5T and 3.0T clinical MRI systems, the Magnetom Aera and Skyra.
Both companies will work towards providing access to Exablate Neuro for current and future customers. Insightec ceo and chairman of the board Maurice Ferre said: “Siemens has embraced our technology and together we will bring our therapy to significantly more patients and providers. Insightec is committed to continue investing in research and development of MRgFUS technology.”
