The WHO observed its 75th year on World Health Day 2023, commemorating the occasion via the theme ‘Health For All.’ However, with the global human population crossing eight billion, ensuring healthcare access for everyone is a mounting challenge for administrators and governments globally.

The task becomes tougher when considering another issue escalating rapidly – the worldwide shortfall of medical staff. The WHO estimates a global shortage of 4.3 million physicians, nurses, and other health professionals, with a projected shortfall of 10 million health workers by 2030, primarily in low and lower-middle income countries.
