Swindon’s regional anaesthesia aided by X-Porte

Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has purchased an X-Porte point-of-care ultrasound system from Fujifilm SonoSite to extend its ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia capabilities for orthopaedic surgery.
Dr Anthony Allan, is a consultant anaesthetist with a special interest in regional anaesthesia. He said: “We already had two SonoSite point-of-care instruments, an M-Turbo and an S-Nerve, for use in our theatre suite, but these are much in demand and we needed another system to deal with our workload. Our previous experience with SonoSite’s instruments and service made the recently launched X-Porte system the obvious choice.”
