Wythenshawe Hospital, part of the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust, has installed three Acuson S2000 ultrasound systems and a portable Acuson X150 from Siemens Healthcare.

The S2000 is a next generation system, designed for user and patient comfort. The three systems have been installed in Wythenshawe Hospital’s radiology department and are being used for paediatric imaging, musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal and gastroenterology imaging, including liver studies.

“The new S2000 ultrasound systems have been well received by staff and patients,” stated Gerry Johnson, lead sonographer at Wythenshawe. “We now have the forefront in ultrasound imaging technology, with the ability to perform detailed examinations producing very crisp and clear images.”
