Time difference allows wide-awake reporting

Telemedicine Clinic has launched TMC On-Call teleradiology service in the UK, in partnership with Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.

This service utilises experienced and GMC-registered consultant radiologists located in Australia, who are able to report during their daytime due to the time difference between the UK and Australia.  The service is said to be fully approved and compliant with Connecting for Health; no patient identifying data leaves the UK’s boundaries.

TMC provides the service seven days a week, with a team of radiologists working throughout the day on night-time cases, in a secure professional reporting environment based in central Sydney.  Says the company: “There is no longer any need for tired NHS radiologists to report from home in the middle of the night.”
