The meeting committee, chair Peter Dunlop from James Cook University Hospital, Judith Christian from Nottingham City Hospital, OSL’s Julie Mead, Tony Greener from Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Trust, Mark Elsworthy from Bupa Cromwell Hospital and Neil Burnet from Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
The first TomoTherapy UK User Group meeting took place at The Moller Centre in Cambridge. Delegates attended from each of the seven hospitals where TomoTherapy Hi-Art and TomoHD treatment machines are installed, and from UK and Ireland distributors Oncology Systems Limited and manufacturer Accuray Incorporated.
The two-day conference brought together staff from all disciplines including clinical oncologists, radiotherapy physicists, dosimetrists and radiographers. Attendees could share best practice to see how each centre uses TomoTherapy.
