3D panoramic x-ray unit arrives on Isle of Wight

Territory manager at Xograph Healthcare Liam Neill with St Mary’s Hospital superintendent radiographer Amanda Shaw.

While the local media may be focusing on the news that planning permission has been granted for a new helipad at St Mary’s Hospital on the Isle of Wight, the main hospital has also installed a digital 3D panoramic x-ray imaging system, the Planmeca ProMax 3D MID, from medical equipment supplier Xograph Healthcare.

Superintendent radiographer Amanda Shaw said: “We are very pleased to be the first hospital in the south of England to have the system. The radiographers are looking forward to fully utilising the equipment’s huge range of clinical applications, including imaging for implants and facial 3D rendering.”
