Homerton University Hospital has acquired a Toshiba Medical Aquilion Prime CT scanner to replace its existing Aquilion 64 system and Vitrea workstations.  This installation equips the hospital with the latest in cutting-edge technology, including Vitrea Enterprise thin-client solution with iCAD VeraLook ColonCAD.

Radiology imaging manager Niamh McGuiness said: “We evaluated all the CT systems on the market and the Toshiba equipment ticked all the boxes for us.  Using the same supplier meant that training has been easier and we have also been impressed with the AIDR 3D dose reduction technology.

“We were very satisfied with our previous scanner and in particular Toshiba’s track record in supporting us over the years, and this was a key factor in our decision.”
