Northern General Hospital, part of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (STH), has installed Toshiba Medical’s Aquilion One Genesis Edition CT system and is the first site in the UK to receive this model.  CT/MRI manager Jenny Braithwaite said: “At STH we feel privileged to be able to work with Toshiba as part of our CT replacement programme.   All three installations were managed well and they were all completed on schedule, which is crucial when managing a very busy clinical service.

“The applications training and ongoing support has been fantastic, which is an important factor for us as we had no previous Toshiba experience.  The new system has enabled us to optimise our cardiac CT service, making it possible for us to more than double the number of examinations we perform per session.  The transition has been seamless due to the working partnership that has developed between Toshiba and the CT team at the trust.”
