The Huntingdon NHS Treatment Centre at Hinchingbrooke Hospital has acquired an Aplio i-700 ultrasound system from Canon Medical Systems for use in its gynaecology clinic.  A replacement for an existing machine, it comes with state-of-the-art technologies such as Superb Microvascular Imaging (SMI), and ultra wide-band i-series transducers.  In addition, the clinic purchased a 4D endo-cavity transducer, which offers the potential for obtaining volume data for transvaginal and obs/gynae procedures.

Consultant gynaecologist Dr Hema Nosib commented: “We are delighted with the technology and the high quality images with this product.  The machine is easy to navigate and move around.  Canon Medical Systems has been committed to training our staff and the after-sales service has to be commended.”
