Trial of breast scanning system begins at The Royal Marsden

Bristol-based diagnostic imaging company Micrima Limited has announced the start of a trial at The Royal Marsden, London, to assess the accuracy of its Maria technology in cancer detection.

Consultant radiologist and chief investigator Dr Steve Allen said: “I am excited to evaluate this new technology as we understand the difficulties we have with dense breast tissue.  This technology has the possibility to circumvent this problem.”
