International skills are shared at vascular imaging course
Delegates on the vascular ultrasound imaging course.
Wessex Diagnostic held its bi-annual Vascular Ultrasound Imaging Training Course in Birmingham, in March, welcoming delegates from countries including Croatia, Israel, Italy, Portugal, Romania and the USA. The mix of an experienced faculty with a limited number of dedicated delegates was intended to provide a great learning environment and networking opportunities.
Topics investigated the application of duplex, pulsed wave, colour and power Doppler techniques in the investigation of abdominal, extra and intra-cranial and peripheral vasculature. Each lecture was followed by faculty-guided workshops with live models so that each delegate had the opportunity to develop their technical scanning skills.
