Children drive miniature Tesla care to scans at Bradford Royal Infirmary

Five-year-old patient Blake Wignall driving the miniature Tesla car.

Children at Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI) are now able to drive themselves to the operating theatre or imaging department following a donation of an electric ride-on car by the Tesla Owners Group (TOG UK).  Tesla only makes electric cars and as part of its rewards programme mini Model S cars are given to owners who refer new customers.  Consultant radiologist Dr Jon Martin, who is a member of TOG UK, suggested the donation and representatives from the group visited BRI.  Now, children coming in for day procedures such as MRI/CT scans and surgery will be able to drive themselves to their procedures.
