Hand centre adds another C-arm for theatre and clinics
Vertec Scientific has delivered a Hologic InSight FD Flex mini C-arm system to the Pulvertaft Hand Centre at Royal Derby Hospital. Derby has had a long association with the use of intra-operative x-ray C-arms, being the first in the NHS to use the techno-logy in the mid 90s. Since that time it has acquired ten Hologic Fluoroscans with five still in use today; three in hand theatres, one in the hand clinic and one in the main theatres. The Pulvertaft Hand Centre is renowned for therapy, research and postgraduate study.
