BSIR 2019 annual meeting
The 2019 annual meeting of the British Society of Interventional Radiology was held in Manchester last month.
This year the Graham Plant Lecture was given by Dr Raman Uberoi from Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and entitled ‘Interventional radiology – a 21st century speciality’. The Wattie-Fletcher Lecture ‘GIRFT and IR – what’s going on out there?’ was given by Getting it Right First Time’s Dr Katharine Halliday. The BSIR Gold Medal was awarded to Dr Nick Chalmers from Manchester Royal Infirmary. BVM Medical’s Jay Tailor was made a BSIR honorary fellow.
BSIR 2020 will be held at the SEC in Glasgow on December 2-4.
