Imaging service receives second medical publisher to support 3.0T MRI

One of the latest sites to procure a Codonics medical publisher unit supplied by HSL is Heath Lodge Clinic in Solihull, home to CMC Imaging, an independent clinic offering MRI, x-ray, ultrasound, DEXA scanning and pain management services in the West Midlands. The Virtua E unit, located in the MRI control room, provides the capability for its patients to fully manage their images and reports. Safety and security are of paramount importance and the Virtua E produces CD, DVD or USB using encryption standard AES256, thereby ensuring that sensitive patient information remains fully protected, without the need for additional software.

Consultant radiologist Dr David Beale said: “CMC Imaging has long seen the clinical benefit of having a Codonics solution, which has been supporting our 1.5T scanner for several years. Earlier in 2019 we installed our gold standard 3.0T scanner and we had no hesitation in installing a second, latest generation, Codonics Virtua E medical publisher with enhanced speed, capacity and high level encryption, all of which complements our 3.0T MRI service provision.”

HSL reports considerable interest in its range of medical disk publisher units from Codonics, particularly following the GDPR regulations publication in 2018.

The Virtua range of medical publishers offers a solution for capturing, storing and distributing digital images and reports so patients can take them away for consultant or remote hospital use.
