Latest order brings East Kent’s Samsung ultrasound system tally to twenty

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust increased its Samsung ultrasound portfolio in April and May with four RS85 Prestige systems and four HS40 systems. The trust now has three RS80s, seven RS85s, five RS85 Prestiges, four HS40s and an HS60 in its radiology, obstetric, breast and neurophysiology departments. Supplier MIS Healthcare says the trust has been impressed with the image quality, advanced software features and the applications support provided by Samsung and MIS Healthcare.

Ultrasound principal Lee Gavin and clinical technologist and deputy quality manager Sarah Matthews stated: “We first purchased the RS80 systems in 2015 for our breast assessment centre at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital after a multi-vendor tender with the NHS Supply Chain. We were so impressed with the excellent image quality and resolution of the system – five years later these systems still consistently deliver.

“Over the past couple of years we have purchased even more units for our general and obstetrics departments. The clinical team has been extremely positive about the Samsung systems. They have been easy to implement as we have had excellent support from the MIS clinical applications team, which has always been available when needed.

“The clinicians have been very impressed with the advanced functions including the MV Flow feature and CEUS package.”
