Hitachi joins the Fujifilm family

Hitachi Medical Systems has joined forces with Fujifilm Europe to create Fujifilm Healthcare Europe. Hitachi says it is working with colleagues from the Fujifilm Europe group to set up a strategy looking at the opportunities and synergies between the companies’ products and services.

“We bring many decades of experience in the market, alongside a strong and comprehensive product portfolio,” said Fujifilm Healthcare Europe president and coo Jean-Luc Budillon, formerly Hitachi president. “The two organisations complement each other perfectly, and I am excited for the service and support we can offer together, with a combined team that is ready to embrace new challenges and great adventures in the future.”

Fujifilm Healthcare Europe’s expertise in CT, MRI and ultrasound, combined with the core capabilities of Fujifilm business in x-ray, endoscopy, women’s health, AI, PACS and IVD, are expected to maximise its services and products in several areas of prevention and diagnosis for patients in Europe.
