AXREM director’s effective contribution recognised

AXREM director Sally Edgington has received The Trade Association Forum Outstanding Contribution Award.

In February AXREM vice chair Charlie McCaffrey from Philips UKI and colleagues joined Edgington at Drapers Hall in London. Upon presenting her award the forum recognised that Edgington had been instrumental in increasing membership and driving innovation. She is a champion for the association that represents healthcare technology providers for imaging, radiotherapy and care, and a fierce advocate for its members, showing drive and determination in the face of any challenge.

Edgington said: “When I joined AXREM three years ago, I spent the first six months observing and learning, the next six months planning my vision and have spent the last two years taking AXREM through a significant period of change. This has included implementing strategic objectives, increasing governance, and creating a strong marketing and communications plan, which has increased our profile and led to significant growth in our membership. But this has been a team effort, so I feel the winner of this award really is everyone at AXREM.

“What motivates me and makes me so passionate about leading the work of AXREM is knowing the products and services our members provide to the NHS and private sector diagnose and treat patients offering them the very best care and treatment pathways.”

The awards are supported by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and the Outstanding Contribution Award was sponsored by Miles Smith Insurance Group.

McCaffrey commented: “Anyone who has worked with or is a member of AXREM will know just how hard working and effective Sally is. To have this external recognition and endorsement is well deserved.”
