AXREM launches manifesto in Westminster

AXREM ultrasound special focus group members were at the Palace of Westminster for the launch of its Manifesto for Medical Ultrasound: The Modern-day Stethoscope.
AXREM and the British Medical Ultrasound Society have a close working relationship and the group welcomed president Pamela Parker to the event. She said: “The publication of the manifesto is a milestone in collaboration between the ultrasound workforce, professional bodies and AXREM.
“As demands for services increase, and pathways change to include delivering more point-of-care ultrasound, there is an increasing need for clinical and industry partners to work together. Our patients deserve optimum equipment, sufficient well trained practitioners and a fundamental understanding of first-line diagnostics from their clinicians. The manifesto lays out the issues and challenges ahead to make this a reality.”
