DR upgrade cuts A&E waiting

In the back row are departmental managers Jill Aldred (seated) and Michele Mayes, senior radiographer Chris Thomas and Philips account manager Steve Oliver.  In the front (both seated) are Philips applications specialist Natalie Parkin and senior radiographer Elizabeth Gibson.

Fairfield Hospital, part of the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, has replaced x-ray equipment in its outpatients and A&E department with a Philips DigitalDiagnost VM system with integrated Philips CR.

Departmental managers Jill Aldred and Michele Mayes say: “This is our first experience of digital radiography here at Fairfield Hospital.  We chose this equipment as it was the most user-friendly that we saw.  It has made a huge impact in reducing patient waiting times.”

The DigitalDiagnost is Philips’ state-of-the-art digital imaging system for all general radiography examinations.  It combines a digital detector with the most advanced image processing capabilities and excellent ergonomics.
