Medica drives collaboration for smarter, patient-centred radiology

News, UKIO Expo
Medica at UKIO

In keeping with the UKIO theme of Community and Consciousness: One Health, Medica is showcasing its innovative technology portals to clients and reporters. The Educate by Medica team will also be attending to share insights into the latest educational initiatives and resources.

The teleradiology company will be hosting an industry session in the innovation workstream titled ‘Delivering better, faster, quality radiology services: an overview from AI providers and commercial users’. The session will be chaired by chief medical officer Dr Rob Lavis who will be joined by industry leaders including CARPL.ai, Smart Reporting and Siemens Healthineers offering insights into the real-world impact of AI and where efforts should be focused to ensure smarter, more sustainable services. The panel will explore how AI is reshaping radiology workflows from scan to report, providing tangible solutions to address the growing gap between demand and capacity, with a patient-centred approach.

Medica will also exhibit MedConnect, its new HL7 integration platform that has been supporting NHS trusts to streamline their clinical workflows. In addition, it will demonstrate its new client portal, designed to improve communication and efficiency between referrers and radiology teams. This platform saves time, ultimately improving emergency department referral-to-treatment time frames.

Working with more than half of NHS trusts and health boards across the UK and Scotland, Medica says it is uniquely placed to bring together healthcare professionals, technology partners and service providers.
