Lumicare launches two breakthrough technologies

BMUS Expo, News
Lumicare ultrasound probe disinfection

In the field of ultrasound probe high level disinfection Lumicare has introduced two innovations, Guardian U.I and Recharge, that it says set new benchmarks for intelligence, efficiency and sustainability in infection control.

Guardian U.I is Lumicare’s most significant software release yet. Developed with input from users worldwide, it delivers speed, traceability and usability. With direct DICOM connectivity and what is claimed to be unparalleled traceability compliance, Guardian U.I eliminates the need for third-party systems, cloud storage or subscription fees. Clinicians can select patients directly from the Modality Worklist, assign pre-disinfected probes to scheduled examinations and instantly verify probe status via a simple RFID swipe. Its modern interface and intuitive navigation streamline workflows, while flexible settings adapt to the needs of any department.

Lumicare Recharge introduces a flexible, cost-effective model for healthcare providers. Rather than purchasing equipment outright, facilities pay only for the disinfection cycles they use. This operating expense model aligns costs with patient throughput, preserves capital budgets and includes full service, technical support and updates.

With no consumables, no chemicals and no regularly replaced parts, Lumicare says it offers a sustainable choice in ultrasound probe disinfection.
