Probo Medical pushes on with charitable efforts

Probo Medical’s charity of 2025 was SUDEP Action (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy), a cause with personal significance for the team. Employees at the imaging equipment distributor collectively engaged in fund-raising events throughout the year and efforts continued throughout the festive season. Having previously donated diagnostic imaging equipment to epilepsy research in London, Probo Medical’s commitment to supporting epilepsy-related causes continues to grow, especially for global head of radiology Leon Parsons, whose family has directly been affected by SUDEP. He contributed to the effort by donating a contrast injector and an MRI monitor from his previous company Future Medical, and later supplied an IRadimed monitor from Probo Medical.
Probo employees have taken part in a range of activities including an ‘Around the World’ challenge. Staff collectively logged more than 51,000km through walking, running and cycling over nine months. During the company’s European conference in October, it hosted a charity walk in the Cotswolds to make a final push towards the distance goal. There, it welcomed Tanya Russell, representing SUDEP Action and sister to Leon Parsons, who shared her story following the loss of her daughter Johdi to SUDEP.
