GE HealthCare collaborates to help scale remote MRI scanning

GE HealthCare is collaborating with Starvision to implement remote scanning in Germany using the Imaging 360 Remote software powered by nCommand Lite.
In 2023, GE HealthCare entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with IONIC Health to expand access to advanced remote scanning solutions. This partnership introduced Imaging 360 Remote powered by nCommand Lite. Starvision, a physician-led radiology network in Germany with more than 240 specialists, is collaborating with GE HealthCare to focus on adapting workflows for German radiology practices. The partnership will explore how remote solutions can improve efficiency, expand access and enhance workforce support in radiology.
As part of the project, five MRI scanners from multiple vendors will be remotely connected to evaluate best practices for workflows and operations to establish remote scanning as a new way of working for radiology practices and departments.
The nCommand Lite remote medical scanning solution is a multimodality platform designed for low bandwidth environments with network challenges and limited connectivity. It enables experts to remotely support local technologists in real time, guiding protocol adjustments, training and complex examination workflows while the local team retains full control over granting and managing access.
