It has been a busy 12 months for Adaptix, with the team hitting numerous milestones as it brings its compact, mobile, low dose DT imaging system to markets around the world.
Adaptix received 510(k) clearance from the USA Food and Drug Administration for its Adaptix Ortho350 orthopaedic 3D imaging system in November, while CE certification is imminent. It completed its first installations at Badia Hand to Shoulder Center in south Florida, and Olympia Orthopaedic Associates – Westside Clinic, Washington, earlier this year.
The company also conducted live imaging trials in patients with suspected rheumatoid arthritis in partnership with the University of Exeter, helping diagnose and track progression of the disease in patients’ hands. The first findings will be revealed at UKIO by Professor Karen Knapp. Adaptix has also signed distribution partnerships for the Adaptix Ortho350 with Centura Imaging, Discovery Medical Imaging and MidSouth Medical Imaging in the USA, as well as Vertec Scientific to serve the UK.
In the veterinary market, the team has completed its first fully mobile veterinary practice installation operated by The Small Pet Vet, as well as signing additional distribution partnerships with Centura Imaging in the USA and Schenk Röntgenbedarf AG in Switzerland. Additionally during the last 12 months, there has been a significant expansion of the Adaptix clinical product team and Stuart Gall has been appointed as Avingtrans divisional CEO for its medical imaging and industrial companies.
