Weston General Hospital in Weston-super-Mare has installed a Toshiba Aplio 400 ultrasound scanner for obstetrics scanning, along with a PVT674BT probe for what is claimed to be excellent resolution when used in obstetrics.

Ultrasound lead sonographer Jane Baker said: “The Aplio 400 replaces our Toshiba Xario so that we can continue to comply with FASP guidelines for the first and second trimester screening.  This machine will provide us with huge improvements regarding the ease of scanning of our obstetric patients.”
