Philips sees connected imaging platforms as a dominant theme at RadVision South

At RadVision South 2026 in London, Philips believes one thing became increasingly clear: the conversation around imaging is evolving.

“For many years, discussions have centred on increasing scanner capacity, introducing new technologies or addressing workforce challenges,” the company stated. “While these remain important, this year’s event highlighted a broader shift in thinking. The conversation is moving beyond individual pieces of equipment towards connected imaging platforms that bring together people, data and workflows. It is this connectivity that can help imaging services become more resilient, more efficient and better prepared for growing demand.”

As chair of the conference, AXREM head of government affairs and Philips independent sector leader Jeevan Gunaratnam guided discussions spanning workforce transformation, community diagnostic centres, AI, digital platforms and imaging networks. Across every session, a common theme emerged: progress depends on connecting people, processes and technology so that imaging services work as one, rather than improving individual parts in isolation.

That theme continued throughout the day on the Philips stand, where conversations with radiologists, radiographers and imaging leaders focused on the realities of transformation. They explored how organisations can make better use of existing capacity, strengthen resilience and create sustainable imaging services for the future.
