CT cardiac angiography comes to BMI Chiltern

At BMI The Chiltern Hospital are diagnostic imaging manager for BMI South Buckinghamshire group of hospitals Amelia Timmis, consultant radiologist Dr Dinuke Warrakaulle, radiology care assistant Lindsay Stafford, MR/CT leader radiographer Jackie Farrow, consultant radiologist Dr Vishali Gada and Toshiba Medical Systems account executive Stephen Whale.

BMI The Chiltern Hospital, Great Missenden, has purchased a Toshiba Aquilion CX, 128-slice CT scanner to replace its single slice system.  The hospital will be able to undertake additional applications such as coronary and artery angiography, virtual angiography, virtual endoscopy and virtual colonoscopy.

BMI South Buckinghamshire group of hospitals’ diagnostic imaging manager Amelia Timmis said: “The scanner has dramatically improved our workflow, and we have been able to launch a CT cardiac angiography service.  Feedback from both patients and consultants has been excellent.”
