New hospital has ergonomic PACS stations

The South West Acute Hospital at Enniskillen opened its doors to new patients in June 2012.
The radiology facility provides comfortable surroundings and individual diagnostic suites. Its PACS stations aim to provide long-term comfort and fitness.
Cost was a major factor in the choice of the PACS table, and the solution by Iomek Limited is said to have offered the ergonomic values required. Senior consultant Padhraic Conneally, who heads the new radiology unit, said: “These quality tables provide what we require in a cost-effective manner, allowing us to alter posture to avoid muscular problems while delivering the optimal environment to view images.”
